Vastu is all about balancing the directions’ effect and taking the positive vibes of each direction. Whenever you buy any new house, it is important to check its directions, especially the facing of the property. Directions also affect the mental peace, health, wealth, good luck and prosperity of a person. 
By following a few Vastu Shastra tips, you can give positive energies and can bring good luck and wealth to your home. 

Vastu Tips for Entrance Gate of your personal residence/flat

The front door of the home should be maintained and kept as attractive as possible to attract positivity and luck. An auspicious symbol or idol such as Ganesha is appropriate at the front door. The entrance door should open clockwise. North or East is the ideal direction for the entrance door.

Pooja Room as per Vastu

North-East is the most suitable direction for the Puja room. Idols in Pooja room should be kept in East or West. The Pooja room should have a low ceiling. In Pooja room, there should not be cluttering of so many pictures of one or more god or goddess.

Living Room as per Vastu

The Living room should be in the East, North or North-East direction so as to receive cosmic rays or energy in the home. A North-West Facing Living room is also favourable. 

Vastu Tips for Bedroom

The bedroom should be well lit. The natural light should enter during the day time. The fresh air should also enter the bedroom from the window(s). The master bedroom must be in the South-West direction and the head of the family should sleep in this room with the head facing towards the south. 

Wall Hanging and Paintings for Vastu

Don’t display paintings of war, destruction, earthquake or post-flood effects or anything which is not joyous on the wall of the house. Avoid modern paintings in the house which don’t signify any meaning. They simply create confusion in life. You can have a flowing river, waterfall or a fish painting for the flow of money and wealth in your home. 

Kitchen Vastu Ideas

The kitchen should be in the South-East corner of the house. The gas stove and water sink in the kitchen should not be together. Try to have them on separate shelves and as far from each other as possible.
